The IT Settlements Business Analyst contractor will lead functional and non-functional requirements and testing for the IT Settlements functional area, manage defects and enhancements for system releases and/or projects and will work closely with internal IT development teams, business teams and the project management office to support the assigned functional area. Develop and maintain a comprehensive understanding of the business and systems/applications for the IT Settlements functional area to elicit and document business and IT requirements.Work collaboratively with stakeholders to gather requirements and establish test cases/test plans.Provide analysis of customer, business, and technical needs to articulate and develop business goals, functional requirements, non-functional requirements, etc., using company's established requirements methodology.Apply requirements approval, management, and traceability throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring scope change control.Ensure established requirements methodology and testing strategy are effective, understood, and followed by the team, as well as stakeholders.Lead Defect Management Remediation Team (DMRT) in order to manage defects, enhancements and releases. Work closely with IT and 3 rd party vendor development teams, business teams and the project management office to coordinate and prioritize the issues for system releases or projects through the SDLC.Manage defects, enhancement, and release traceability via designated company applications (JIRA) and 3 rd party vendor applications.Develop, document, and execute test cases/test plans, test approaches, test execution, defect management, test status, and test metrics using the company's established testing strategy and defect management process.Accountable for all aspects of system testing, (e.g., resource planning, test approach documentation, test cases/test plans, test management, defect management, test status/metrics, test exit, etc.). Manage test traceability using the company's established testing methodology. Execute system integration testing, as well as executing tests for other test stages as applicable, (e.g., site acceptance, functional integration/user acceptance, non-functional).Exercise planning and problem solving skills with ability to exercise mature judgment.Establish effective working relationships with stakeholders and team.Understand and comply with company policies and procedures.
