Role is key to ensuring the accuracy of corporate asset management data which is an enabler to corporate key strategic improvements. Reporting into the Manager, Data Validation, analyst will be responsible for developing, enhancing, maintaining and running data migration tests. Results are to be prepared and packaged as management information reports that demonstrate the outcome of the migration in a comprehensive way.

The Data Validation SQL Analyst will liaise with stakeholders within Carnival Corporation's brands to share outcomes from analysis allowing for further insights into the datasets

Essential Functions:

Accountablefor preparing and running migration data test cases using PowerBI & SQL knowledge. This includes testing results to ensure adherence to approved business rulesSupport ship deployment schedule that could occur during off hours requiring validation & testing of scripts provided by internal developers or 3rd party vendorsTrack test completion and output, preparing Azure Dev Ops (ADO) outcome tickets for further review of resolution where discrepancies are found and facilitate until completionIdentifyimprovements in processes or technology and feed these back to the Master Data Manager for discussion and implementationGenerateadhoc queries to pull data from the multiple databases that can identify root cause of issues related to migrated dataManagetasks using MS Projects or equivalent to track progress and identify dependencies with other projects and initiativesProduceand maintain clear and concise documentation for all relevant processes and reportsUseknowledge and understanding of the Planned Maintenance System to ensure requirements and specifications for data extracts or reports are fully understood by role holder and stakeholderGuideand provide training to peers in standard development practices that can help provide better quality to data migration testing resultsQualifications:Education: Bachelor's degree inComputer Science, Information Systems or equivalentYears & or Area of Professional experience:5+ years of management/supervisory experience. 5+ years of expereinceCritical Professional Related Technical/Computer Skills:PowerBI, PL/SQL, MS Projects, SQLServer, SSMI/SSIS, VBScript, PowerApps, MS PowerPoint, MS Excel, Jira, DevopsExperience working with large datasets and data analysis; work experience with Cloud Technologies a plusKnowledge, Skills & Abilities:Expertanalytical and problem-solving abilities. Strong communicator in all forms across all levels of the organizationPhysical Demands: Must be able to remain in a stationary position at a desk and/or computer for extended periods of time.

Travel:None or very little travel likely

Work Conditions: Work primarily in a climate controlled environment with minimal safety/health hazard potential. May be requested to work a different shift. Position requires supporting multiple brands withing Carnival Corporation in different time zones and locations. In some cases there may be a need to support ship deployments during off hours/weekends.

This position is classified as "in-office." As an in-office role, it requires employees to work from a designated Carnival office in South Florida from Tuesday through Thursday. Employees may work from home on Mondays and Fridays. Some positions may require additional in-office time each week and final schedule is determined by your leader. Candidates must be located in (or willing to relocate to) the Miami/Ft. Lauderdale area.

Holidays - All full-time and part-time with benefits employees receive days off for 7 company-wide holidays, plus an additional floating holiday to be taken at the employee's discretion.Vacation Time - All full-time employees at the manager and below level start with 14 days/year; director and above level start with 19 days/year. Part-time with benefits employees receive time off based on the number of hours they work, with a minimum of 84 hours/year. All employees gain additional vacation time with further tenure.Sick Time - All full-time employees receive 80 hours of sick time each year.
