Transportation Coordinator
to join the team at our multi-shift and multi-site operation in Avon and Lorain, Ohio.
Transportation Coordinator will be required to:
Utilize Microsoft Excel and our proprietary inventory management system to ensure proper paperwork is sent with each load and to help ensure the correct parts are sent at the proper time.Work directly with our customers to ensure timely delivery of standard and HOT parts loads; as well as to help facilitate timely live unloads of product at multiple customer locations.Track/Trace of all loads, deliveries and return trips.Handle dispatching of drivers, driver concerns, pre and post trip driver notes, and coordinate with the appropriate parties regarding maintenance concerns.Assist with tracking and reporting on some KPI/Metrics, including OTD.Have a full understanding of DOT regulations regarding hours of service, safety, etc.Escalate concerns to the local CLI management team as necessary.Additional duties and requirements as determined by the needs of the team and customer.Minimum Requirements:
Education: High School DiplomaAt least 1-year dispatching CDL A DriversDemonstrated understanding of DOT regulations for HOS, etc.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft SharePoint, Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, and Word.Ability to multi-task, work with shifting demands, and meet deadlines.Ability to work and adapt in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities.Must be available to work days or nights and the occasional SaturdayMust be willing to work as a team with materials management, quality and operations.Additional duties and requirements as determined by the needs of the team and customer.Demonstrated ability to influence without authority.
