Job Title: Management Accountant
Management Accountant Job Summary:
The Management Accountant will play a critical role in supporting the financial health and performance. This position involves preparing detailed financial reports, conducting cost analysis, budgeting, and providing strategic financial insights to support decision-making processes. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting and finance, with specific experience in the construction industry.
Management Accountant Key Responsibilities:
Financial Reporting and Analysis:Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.Generate management reports including variance analysis, cost allocation, and project profitability.Develop financial models and forecasts to support business planning and strategy.Budgeting and Forecasting:Assist in the preparation of the annual budget and periodic forecasts.Monitor actual performance against budget and provide variance analysis.Identify and analyze trends to provide actionable insights.Cost Management:Conduct detailed cost analysis for projects, including labor, materials, and overhead.Implement and maintain cost accounting systems and procedures.Work closely with project managers to ensure accurate cost tracking and reporting.Month-End Close:Perform month-end close activities including journal entries, reconciliations, and accruals.Ensure all financial data is accurate and complete before closing the books.Review and analyze account balances, making necessary adjustments and corrections.Prepare month-end reports and present findings to senior management.Internal Controls and Compliance:Ensure adherence to internal financial policies and procedures.Support internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations.Maintain compliance with relevant regulatory and statutory requirements.Financial Planning and Decision Support:Provide financial insights and recommendations to support strategic decision-making.Collaborate with various departments to optimize financial performance.Participate in financial planning and analysis activities to drive business improvement.Process Improvement:Identify opportunities for process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy.Implement best practices in financial reporting and analysis.Support the implementation and optimization of financial systems and software.Management Accountant Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA, CMA, or equivalent certification preferred.Minimum of 4 years of experience in management accounting, preferably within the construction or infrastructure industry.Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and cost management.Proficiency in financial software and ERP systems such as Microsoft Dynamics (NAV)#INNOV2024 #LI-PG1Id: EB-4954580484
