What you will do:
The Domestic Tax Director is part of the Global Finance Team and will be responsible for managing and overseeing US international and foreign tax compliance, foreign income tax provision, planning, transfer pricing, tax reporting, restructuring, M&A and tax audit defense for the Company's International Operations. This role will also collaborate with other members of the Finance and Business Operations teams and external advisors to provide advice and ensure compliance of all foreign local tax filings as required.Oversee U.S. federal, state and local income tax matters for a fast growth Real Estate CompanyManage domestic income tax compliance function, including audits and special projectsDrive the research, analysis, and modeling of the impact of tax developments in support of tax strategies respond to an evolving global tax landscapeOversee tax planning activities in US geographies as needed including working with colleagues and tax advisorsSteer forecasting Manage complex tax projects through cross-functional implementation, including Controllership, Legal, M&A, Treasury and FP&ACommunicate tax planning ideas, implications of changes in tax law in a clear and concise manner to senior leadersSupport the business on tax impacts of new business models, expansions and divestitures and other enterprise initiatives such as legal entity rationalizationIdentify process improvements for various tax processes, implement changes for best practices Assist with various tax consulting projects such as voluntary disclosure agreements, filing positions, and reorganization transactionsCoordinate with internal and attest auditors for control testingAct as a liaison and business partner with the different groups within the tax department to ensure that there is timely communication and collaboration on potential tax impacts.Assist with researching tax accounting implications of planning or transactional activities (including acquisitions), international expansion, audits, transfer pricing, and complianceAssist with special project and issues related to the accounting for income taxes.Work effectively with external advisorsDevelop and coach direct reportsOther Accountabilities as AssignedHow you will grab our attention:
Master's degree required or equivalent years of applicable experience15 + years of International Tax experienceStrong knowledge of tax code, compliance and procedures for corporations.Experience with US international compliance and provision for FDII, GILTI, Subpart-F, CbCR and Pillar IIDedicated to deployment of process improvements to mitigate risk and add valueHighly motivated, organized self-starter with strong analytical and critical thinking skills and demonstrated understanding of complex tax concepts; must be flexible, adaptable, and resourcefulExcellent oral and written communication skills with ability to interact professionally with diverse groupsExcel/sheets skill set requiredExperience with Microsoft Office/Google Suite toolsExperience with enterprise software such as Oracle, SAP, CorpTax, OneSource, Vertex, etc.Must be able to work in a high performance, fast-paced environmentIf you think you'd make a great match for this position but don't meet all the requirements, we would still encourage you to apply!
