We are looking for a Director of Tennis for the upcoming 2025 season.

The Director of Tennis is responsible for but not limited to overseeing the tennis operation to ensure it is run efficiently & effectively. Conduct lessons, clinics, round robins, and any other special events.

Develop tennis program & train Staff Pros in the teaching method

Court Maintenance

Assist in marketing tennis programs

Provide tennis instruction, individual and for groups

Schedule reservations for tennis court times, lessons & clinics with assistance from staff

Set up matches and custom clinics on request

Pro Shop Merchandise Sales

Maintain inventory of all supplies, office & retail

Complete and accurate record keeping of daily charges/audit, delivery to Front Desk. Revenue to be tracked, daily, weekly and monthly.

Maintain complete knowledge of and comply with all departmental policies/service procedures/standards

Maintain complete knowledge of correct maintenance and use of equipment. Use equipment only as intended

Anticipated guests needs and maintain positive guest relations at all times

Monitor & maintain cleanliness, sanitation and organization of assigned work areas

Assist in other areas as needed and requested by the Director of Recreation including bike rentals

REQUIREMENTS:

Essential:

5+ years’ experience managing a tennis program

Current certification in CPR & First Aid

USPTA Certification or equal certification

Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing – fluency in English

Ability to formulate policies, procedures, rules and regulations

Perform job functions with attention to detail, speed and accuracy

Prioritize and organize

Follow directions thoroughly

Work cohesively with co-workers as part of a team

Be a clear thinker, remaining calm and resolving problems using good judgment

Maintain confidentiality of guest information and pertinent hotel data

Excellent customer service skills; able to establish and maintain effective working relationships with guests and other employees

Ability and willingness to work evenings, weekends and holidays as needed

Able to spend long periods of time in the sun and on your feet

Desirable:

Office/Computer Skills

Proficiency in foreign languages

Retail Experience
