We have an excellent opportunity for a
Regional Sales Manager
to join our team. Our ideal candidate will be responsible for leading and managing internal teams and external Sales Reps to achieve sales targets with their given customers base. In this role, the Regional Sales Manager (RSM) will be expected to develop new customers and to expand customers already working with Elma. This person is expected to understand key purchasing factors and how to ensure Elma is situated in the best position to win the orders. The RSM is further responsible for understanding the products to a level that can support growth in additional markets.
Responsibilities:
Develop and implement effective sales strategies to meet or exceed sales goalsBuild and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential customersManage and lead an internal team for opportunity and proposal development, give guidance and mentoring as applicable.Identify and pursue new business in both defense and industrial markets.Lead Sales Representatives in your region for further development of new customers and new industries.Conduct market research and maintain understand of the trends of our industry and our competitorsCollaborate with marketing and product development teams to align sales strategies with company offeringsAttend events and trade shows with Marketing team to promote our products and our companyMaintain customer, lead and opportunity information in the CRMMaintain forecasts that will be pulled from the CRMProvide technical and price support to the Sales RepresentativesSupport orders already in process, in case customer responses are laggingAssist in the training of RepresentativesSpecial sales projects as neededOther various duties as assigned
Requirements:
Excellent communication and interpersonal skillsStrong negotiation and closing skills, including understanding Terms and ConditionsAbility to work independently and as part of a teamHigh level of motivation and drive to succeedProven successful record of technical sales in the electronics industryExceptional organizational skillsEducation:
Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Engineering, Business or other related field, or equivalent work experience.5+ years of proven sales success in a project businessAbility to analyze data and market trends to make informed decisionsProficient in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel and Word
