We're Hiring: Senior Property Accountant - Seattle
Our client is seeking a detail-oriented
Senior Property Accountant
to join their team in Seattle. In this role, you'll be responsible for managing the accounting functions of a retail property portfolio, ensuring compliance with GAAP.
Key Responsibilities:Prepare and record journal entries for both cash and accrual transactions across a portfolio of retail properties.Review financial reports, lender statements, and budget variances to verify accuracy and completeness.Provide expert guidance to the Property Accounting team and collaborate with other internal departments.Work closely with Asset Management, Property Management, and Accounting to ensure all financial data is accurate and comprehensive.Oversee CAM reconciliations and manage operating expense recoveries.Qualifications:
Strong knowledge of GAAP accounting principles.3+ years of experience in preparing journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, and conducting financial analysis.3+ years of experience in commercial real estate accounting is preferred.Familiarity with real estate legal documents such as leases and agreements.Experience with Yardi Voyager and AvidXchange is a plus.Benefits:
