The duration of this temporary role is through January 31, 2026. This position is based at the CDPH Headquarters in Sacramento, CA, offering a hybrid work environment with both remote and in-office work. Per CDPH standards, employees are expected to work in-person at least two days per week, with up to three teleworking days, depending on the Department's operational needs. Telework arrangements are subject to change based on CDPH Telework Program guidelines. The Project Policy Analyst I supports various project and administrative functions for the STD Control Branch. Responsibilities include creating and reviewing contracts and grant documents, reconciling the invoice process, independently reviewing executed purchase order documents for accuracy, assisting with grant and contract expenditure tracking, collating information, taking notes at high-level Section meetings, disseminating action plans, data entry, and performing other assigned duties. The incumbent ensures the protection of individual confidentiality at all times.Department Description

UCSF departments deploy temporary employees to work on special projects, fill in for regular employees who are on vacation or leave, or to temporarily fill a vacant position during recruitment. Frequently temporary employees become successful candidates for career and limited appointment positions.Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in related area and/or equivalent experience/trainingTwo years of administrative experienceWorking knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook)Ability to maintain confidentiality, follow directions, and evaluate situations accuratelyStrong research and analytical skillsPreferred Qualifications
Data analysis experienceWorking knowledge of common organization-specific and other computer application programsGeneral knowledge of medical terminology pertaining to sexually transmitted diseases, and appropriate laws, rules, regulations, and policies of the State of California governing the program area(s)About UCSF
