Job DescriptionThe Vertex Co-op Program offers students the opportunity to learn about the pharmaceutical industry from a hands-on perspective. You will be working closely with and learning from some of the brightest people in the industry. Not only will co-ops learn about their day-to-day tasks through their specific work assignments, but they will interact and have exposure to our organizational leaders and their teams.Job Summary :The Global Contracting and TPRM team supports Vertex functions globally with third party risk management activities and negotiates contracts for Commercial and G&A functions globally. The student will have the opportunity to learn about the two functions and the processes they employ to manage company third party risk, contractual and inherent.The selected student will assist the team with implementation of the new Contract Lifecycle Management Tool and will execute tasks to support contract data clean up, contract migration, change management activities and overall implementation efforts.Key Responsibilities :Review and analyze existing contracting data in our current contract management toolIdentify and execute vendor consolidation opportunitiesClean up contract entries to reflect up to date information on select fieldsExecute system testing to support tool validationSupport any ad hoc change management activitiesProvide help with contract execution as needed.Qualifications :Must be enrolled in a College/University and have at least finished two years of a Bachelor's Degree.Prior internship or Co-op experienceExcellent written and verbal communication skillsAbility to multi-task in a fast-paced environment and to prioritize accordinglyAbility to work independently & in a team environmentProficient in Microsoft Office Suite of Software (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)A desire to be part of a highly innovative company aimed at transforming lives of people with serious diseases, their family and society.Permanent legal authorization to work in the United StatesCandidate must be enrolled in an advanced degree program if graduating before May 2025Candidate must be available to work full-time, 40 hours per week from January - June 2025This job posting is for a temporary role with a third-party agency partner that provides services to Vertex.
