If that sounds like a challenge you want to help tackle, we want you to join our team!The OpportunityReporting to the Manager, In-Line Inspection Project Management and Execution, the Business Analyst is responsible to complete business and financial analysis to support various requests and initiatives. The ability to conduct thorough business and financial analysis is an important part of this role.What you'll doMaster Plan/ILI Tracker
- Updating and making sure that the data that is in the Master Plan and ILI Tracker is accurate. Contacting the necessary parties when inaccuracies are found and a liaison between the ILI PM team and the Program Planning tend along with the Internal Threat Management team to ensure the accuracy of the data in the Master Plan. Required to be SME for our team of these tools
ILI PM Assistance -
Compile and show relevant ILI data when asked by various stakeholders. Quickly and efficiently process and show data in an easy-to-understand format such as color-coded spreadsheets and PowerPoint presentations
KPI Scores
- Management and the tracking of vendor KPI scores. Working closely with both the vendors and the Threat Management team to ensure that our KPI scores are accurate. Hold monthly vendor reconciliation meetings to touch base and build relationships with vendors surrounding the KPI's
Run Variance Tracker
- Track all run changes for current and future years along with responsible parties and reasons for the changes. This helps when we are asked at milestone periods, why forecasts may vary
Estimating
- Estimating projects for upcoming plan years so that correct budgets are approved by OAR. This includes ad hoc requests for estimates for projects pulled into current plan years
Scheduling
- Help to oversee the ILI PM run schedule. Update the ILI Tracker with hundreds of run changes along with notifying schedulers, Operations Planning, and the ITM team when schedule changes are made
Contractor Safety BOT
- Reconcile Vendor Safety Statistics monthly
Agenda for Weekly ILI Team meeting
- Prepare and circulate agenda for weekly ILI project Management and Execution Team meeting and assign safety moment for each meeting
Team Update
- Compile weekly Team updates from each Project Management team member into a Report for Project Management team
US Engineering Report

Project Run Breakdown
- Prepare Monthly Project Run Breakdown to show and in depth look at the number of MPID's, Project locations, Smart tools, Cleaning tools, Run days and Miles for the year across all program projects. Comparing ILI Program years as well
Additional Analysis Projects
- Track and Complete all additional analysis projects in MP and ILI Tracker as Reports are delivered throughout the year
Monthly Update for OAR
- Compile relevant data from Variance Tracker of what projects have changed run month for OAR to shift Forecasting Funds to appropriate month
Monthly Packet for Managemen t - Prepare Monthly Packet for Management with Project Number breakdown for ILI and Execution Teams to show completed and scheduled projects, Tool Types and Project changes
SharePoint -
Request and maintain Project SharePoint sites to upload and distribute documents
Continuous Improvement
- Identify opportunities for improvements and document as lessons learned and continual improvement of the company's Project Management tools and processes
Reports
- Update of bi-weekly and monthly reports
Financial Business Analysis
- As needed, complete business and financial analysis to support various requests and initiatives. The ability to conduct thorough business and financial analysis is an important part of this role. In some cases, these analysis requests may come with tight deadlines, requiring efficiently to deliver the required information. Additionally, the analysis findings may need to be presented in various formats, such as spreadsheets, visualizations, or slide decks, depending on the needs of the stakeholders. The business and financial analysis required includes drawing insights from data, identifying key trends and drivers, and translating complex information into clear and actionable recommendations.
Minimum QualificationsRequires a relevant post-secondary education.
A combination of experience, specific to In-line inspection and post-secondary education will also be considered.
Minimum of two years' experience
Understand In-line Inspection project life cycle and will assist others in their understanding of these concerns.
Preferred QualificationsNatural gas industry/construction experience
Extensive knowledge of budgeting and Inline Inspection and procedures
Demonstrated knowledge and Project Management skills (analytical and organizational); works to develop these skills in others
Demonstrated knowledge and ability to quickly assess and make sound decisions; helps other team members to develop these skills
Demonstrated computer proficiency (Specific Software: Excel; PowerPoint, Word)
Ability to gather and analyze data to make informed decisions; ability to accurately obtain, interpret, and transcribe a variety of communications and instructions; works with others to develop their ability to analyze schedule data and communicate that analysis to others
Able to recognize and evaluate risks, hazards, losses and prevent conflicts between activities
Ability to resolve problems and make effective business decisions, driving value added results
Ability to work well with all levels of the company and contract personnel to facilitate the accomplishment of objectives.
*This position requires candidates to:Travel to other company locations for temporary assignments, meetings or training which would involve some overnight stays away from home.
