The Sales Director drives the community’s sales efforts, develops and executes quarterly marketing plans, reaches occupancy goals, and follows Century Park’s standards in accordance with all laws, regulations, and Century Park standards. Reports to the Executive Director.

Qualifications

Must have a bachelor’s degree in marketing, public relations, or related field from an accredited college or university or equivalent experienceMust have at least (1) one year of successful sales experience (3 years preferred)Senior living experience preferredPrimary Job Responsibilities

Administrative and Planning

Plans, develops, executes, drives, and evaluates the community’s strategic marketing planMaintains compliance with budget and labor and expense control utilizing a spend down sheet for department expendituresEnsures leads database is accurate and currentEnsures waitlist is accurate and currentEnsures list of primary and secondary referral sources in the local market is accurate and currentEnsures marketing and sales reports are accurate and timelyCompletes competitive analysis annually and as needed of competitors in the local marketAudits current residents to determine where they resided before moving into the communityConducts demographic analysis to determine highest concentrations of prospective residents in the local marketSales and Marketing Focus

Increases overall resident census and achieves specific occupancy targetsSpends time outside the community identifying and cultivating relationships with referral sourcesCloses the sale effectively with prospective residents and familiesIncreases awareness of the community and Century Park in the local community at largeParticipates in local marketing events, health fairs, civic organization events, etc.Plans and hosts marketing and waitlist eventsCommunicates upcoming marketing events to appropriate staffDevelops, arranges, and provides customer-centered experience tours for inquiriesDevelops and oversees inquiry follow-up process to turn leads into residentsParticipates in conference calls with other Sales Directors within the region and companySupervisory Requirements

Recruits, selects, hires, trains, evaluates, supervises, and counsels the sales teamSchedules department hours appropriatelyExercises appropriate independent judgmentAdditional Requirements

Must have reliable transportation and be willing and able to travel if necessaryMust have excellent written and verbal communication skillsMust have a valid driver’s license in the current state with a satisfactory driving record per Century Park standardsMust be proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and OutlookMust demonstrate an outgoing, energetic personality with excellent listening skills and ability to persuade othersMust have expert knowledge in the field of practiceMust possess the ability to work with little supervision and make independent decisions when circumstances warrantMust understand urgency to build occupancy with the ability to gain referrals and build new sources of businessMust have the ability to implement and interpret the programs, goals, objectives, policies, and procedures of the sales departmentMust demonstrate effective follow-through and follow-up with prospective and referral source leadsMust demonstrate excellent customer service and hospitalityMust display effective networking skills, account management skills, and the ability to build rapport and trust quicklyMust demonstrate effective follow-through and follow-up with marketing leadsMaintains confidentiality of all proprietary and/or confidential informationMust understand and follow company policies including harassment and compliance proceduresDisplays integrity and professionalism by adhering to Century Park’s Code of Ethics and completes all required compliance trainingWho We Are
