As a Senior Cloud Security Engineer at Juniper Square, you’ll have an opportunity to use your extensive knowledge and experience in all aspects of information security. You will have the chance to improve security tools and processes, identify threats, detect incidents and deliver effective response/remediation. Together, with our growing team, we will work to reduce information security risk across the company. This role reports to the Director, IT.What you’ll do

We are looking for a hands-on, technical security generalist for this role. Someone with a breadth and depth of experience across multiple areas of security. Key Responsibilities include:Build and monitor security toolsIncident detection and responseThreat huntingRemediation and forensicsDevelop, train and monitor best security practices including application, infrastructure, and endpoint security, vulnerability management, system configuration, and monitoring.Qualifications

Bachelor's degree, preferably in a technology related field, or equivalent work experience.5+ years of IT security experience with at least 2 years beyond an analyst role as a security engineerSecurity certification (CISSP, CISM, or similar)Strong understanding of all aspects of security best practices, policies, and proceduresExpert knowledge and experience with SIEM, MDR, XDR, EDRExtensive experience in incident responseExtensive experience writing custom detectionsStrong knowledge in SAAS security, endpoint protection, and malware analysisStrong knowledge and practical application of bash and or python scriptingStrong knowledge of security and compliance frameworksKnowledge and experience with AWS or GCPExcellent written and verbal communication, strong analytical and problem-solving skills, service and resolution skillsAbility to be on-callAt Juniper Square, we believe building a diverse workforce and an inclusive culture makes us a better company. Compensation for this position includes a base salary, equity, and a variety of benefits. The U.S. base salary range for this role is $160,000 - $230,000.
