The Nevada State Alliance of Boys & Girls Clubs is a collaboration of seven independent Boys & Girls Club organizations ("members") located throughout Nevada. Each of these Boys & Girls Club organizations is governed by a President/Chief Executive Officer, executive team, and board of directors, and manages a local operating budget and staffing to provide youth development programs and activities in their respective communities. While Clubs in Nevada are diverse in size and scope, the Alliance provides a unified voice for youth policy priorities, as well as brand consistency and fellowship among its members. Together, Clubs serve 30,000 youth throughout Nevada in 94 urban and rural sites located in community centers, schools, and public housing.Job Summary:

Under the day-to-day supervision of the Vice President, the Deputy Director is responsible for the hands-on, daily management of a portfolio of state funding and advocacy efforts, engagement with the Nevada Legislature and state agencies, public policy research, outreach events, and business requirements of the Nevada Alliance of Boys & Girls Clubs. The Deputy is responsible for maintaining positive relationships with key stakeholders and partners and works closely with local Clubs to develop statewide projects and collateral. The position is Las Vegas-based preferred; however, candidates residing in Washoe County and Carson City will also be considered. This is a telework position with weekly in-office hours, field visits, and stakeholder meetings; travel is estimated at one week per quarter and may include weekends and on an as-needed basis, including out-of-state travel.Responsibilities:Provide hands-on daily management of an assigned portfolio of Alliance-led funding efforts, working collaboratively with member organizations.Lead implementation and manage accountability and promotion for the Up Next Nevada workforce development initiative, lead planning, budgeting, and execution of the annual Nevada Youth of the Year event.Monitor, interpret, and disseminate information on policies and actions of state government (through research and personal contact) that impact local Boys & Girls Clubs.Deliver ethical and innovative professional advocacy strategies and services.Manage content of the Alliance website and social media accounts.Develop a newsletter or other communication tool to keep the Alliance board and members informed of internal activities, timely events, and relevant news.Preferred Qualifications:Minimum five years experience generating and managing significant state government and private funds, advocating on youth and family issues, analyzing legislation, and building relationships; experience in the management, administration, and operation of a Boys & Girls Clubs or similar organization.Working knowledge of Voter Voice, Constant Contact, and/or other advocate and constituency outreach platforms.Event planning and oversight experience.Able to bring a diverse group of people together toward common goals; work with multiple personality styles; foster teamwork and be a team player.Able to manage multiple tasks with varying deadlines and work at a high level of activity for prolonged periods to accomplish goals.Able to exchange ideas and facts clearly and concisely, both verbally and in writing.Physical requirements include sight, hearing, and sitting for four plus hours per day.Candidate must have demonstrated proven ability to work with a state legislature and state departments to generate funding for a non-governmental organization.Verbal communication skills including public speaking.Professionalism in working autonomously and remotely.Computer literacy using word processing, databases, spreadsheets, and skills utilizing presentation software including Microsoft PowerPoint.Salary:

Full-time (40 hours per week, exempt) salary range is $72,000 to $90,000, depending upon skills and experience, industry knowledge, and verified examples of ingenuity and success. Health benefits available after 60 days of employment and 401K eligibility after 12 months of employment.Environmental and Working Conditions:
