Job Description
Nordstrom Product Group (NPG) is Nordstrom’s Private Brand Division and includes a portfolio of brands designed and developed specifically for Nordstrom and Nordstrom Rack. The Graphic Designer is part of the Brand Strategy and Packaging Team, which is part of the broader Merchandising org within NPG. Through strong collaboration with cross-functional partners, the Graphic Designer is responsible for bringing our brands to life through branding & asset design.A day in the life...Leverage marketplace insights, consumer trends, and internal strategy information to create label and packaging articles including but not limited to interior labels, heat transfers, hangtags, shoe boxes, envelopes, boxed programs, jewelry cards, etc.
Design logos and branding for a portfolio of private brands which includes the intentional and thoughtful development of color palettes, fonts, materials, iconography, and watermarks to create a compelling brand presentation for customers.
Develop branding guides to ensure brand integrity as cross-functional partners adapt branding and assets in other aspects of the business.
Ensure that all customer-facing packaging enhances the customer shopping experience through easy identification of key selling attributes.
Research and identify new trends and big ideas in the packaging space, seeking inspiration from aspirational brands and supplier partners to incorporate into ongoing development and ad hoc projects.
Analyze current packaging programs and recommend improvements, quickly moving from insights to the execution of optimizations once alignment is garnered.
Intake packaging needs from cross-functional teams, fostering constructive conversation regarding product, costing, potential limitations, and any additional opportunities.
Partner with studio art director, photographer, and post-production for on-figure product photography.
Work on ad hoc Graphic Design projects for the Brand Strategy Team or broader NPG organization such as creating visual renderings of store/marketing presentations or designing swag for internal events.

Washington: $69,000 - $110,500. This position may be eligible for performance-based incentives/bonuses.
