We are currently seeking a is The Lowboy Truck Driver is responsible for transportation of construction equipment. In this position, the driver will load construction equipment onto trailers and transport to various construction sites. This is a skilled position involving the safe and efficient operation of equipment/truck. The driver is responsible for safely and professionally operating a truck on public highways, roads, in the yard area, and at various job sites to pick up or deliver equipment. This highly skilled position requires the safe and efficient operation of equipment. The driver must follow the supervisor's instructions to carry out the work.Key Responsibilities (Essential Duties and Functions):Checks fluid levels, tires, lights, and other controls for safe operation.The driver must perform daily pre/post-trip inspections and documents appropriately to follow compliance with DOT guidelines.Keeps accurate log of deliveries and completes required paperwork for billing.Load and unload equipment or materials.Monitor various gauges during the operation of the vehicle.Maintain daily vehicle mileage logs.Unrolls truck tarp to cover loads when required.Perform minor servicing and maintenance of equipment; refer major problems to the supervisor.Properly follow all company policies and procedures for safe working procedures and environment.Must keep the vehicle in a clean and orderly condition.Regular and predictable attendance at assigned times is required.Other duties as assigned.Requirements:Must possess a valid Class A CDL driver’s license with a clean record.4+ years of related experienceAbility to pass drug, alcohol & background screening as required by DOT.Language skills to communicate clearly and effectively.Team AttitudeTakes pride in their work.Good attendance and on time is a
must.Required to perform tasks that include heavy lifting, climbing, balancing, stooping kneeling, crouching, crawling and reaching.Must be able to meet all safety requirements and applicable safety policies.Qualifications:Minimum of a high school diploma or general education degree (GED) required.Must maintain a CDL A or CDL B license. Responsible for keeping all D.O.T. permits and copies of current regulations readily available through the Clearinghouse.Physical Requirements:The job involves physical activities such as climbing, bending, squatting, sitting or driving, trunk movements, lifting, carrying, pushing or pulling weight, and working with hands and fingers. The job also requires good vision abilities, including close, distance, peripheral, depth, and the ability to focus.
