The Software Developer is responsible for analyzing business and technical tasks, participating with a core team of developers to solve issues, create solutions, provide support for resulting applications, and contributing expertise through knowledge base and team exercises.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Assist in developing requirements and functional specificationsFollow coding of new applications and enhancements to existing applications according to business coding standards and current day development architectureDevelop test cases and predict the results from those test casesOwn and participate in SDLC support for the assignment given, including potential interaction with business owners to gather and understand requirement.Conduct unit testing, integrated testing, and regression testing for softwareProvide post-production level 2 and level 3 support and maintenanceContribute to system and user documentation utilizing online wiki.Share techniques, best practices, and QA with other team members.Provide accurate timeline estimates, and be accountable with these estimatesPerform other work related duties as assigned.Competencies, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Advanced experience with the Microsoft .NET framework (C#) and SQL.Experience with source control systems.Full working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.Understanding of database design and ORM modeling.Basic understanding of accounting principles and processes.Ability to work in a team environment with good interpersonal skills.Report regular status to management and general understanding of AGILE methodologyBachelor's Degree in Information Technology or related field is desired.More about Key Benefit Administrators:
