Located near beautiful Charleston, SC, Parker's Gas Turbine Power Generation business manufacturers fuel nozzles for power generation and military aerospace applications. Our team is capable of, "quick turn" new product introduction and design for manufacture. POSITION SUMMARY:
With minimum supervision, responsible for a variety of shipping, receiving and material handling functions in order to meet customer delivery schedules. The schedule for this role is Tuesday-Friday.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Perform the required duties in accordance safety guidelines and lean principles by complying with all safety procedures and all company policies.
Uses various types of powered industrial vehicles and crane systems to move materials.
Ensures all materials are labeled, packaged, and shipped in accordance to work instruction / guidelines.
Prepares export documents, bills of lading, packing lists, and miscellaneous forms.
Perform inventory cycle counts.
Ensures appropriate preparing, expediting, dispatching, picking and loading of shipments.
Makes crates, skids, boxes, and prepares products for shipment.
Understand and facilitate Kanban inventory system accuracy.
Verify product / quantity and ensures raw parts and materials are stored safely in the proper location verify product / quantity and ensures raw parts and materials are stored safely in the proper location.
Assist with the Production Control to initiate jobs and production routines.
Read and understand work instructions, accurately complete required paperwork.
Assist with problem solving efforts to improve operational efficiency.
Maintain work area in clean and orderly fashion, follow 5S practices.
Learn/perform basic computer operations.
Perform other duties as requested.
QUALIFICATIONS:
High School diploma or equivalent
Good interpersonal skills and willingness to work effectively as a participative team member
May be required to lift up to 35 lbs.
Utilize good verbal and written communication skills
Accurately perform basic mathematical equations
Valid driver's license
Receiving experience
Shipping experience
