Technology SolutionsJob Description:The Senior IT Manager Testing / QA manages / leads a team of Testing / QA professionals in providing a broad range of test services and solutions, ensuring established standards are met and planned objectives are achieved. Responsibilities include:Extensive experience in test automation, strong leadership capabilities, and a deep understanding of quality assurance methodologies.Ensure automation framework and tools are effective and align testing processes with overall business goals.Lead, mentor, and manage a team of test automation engineers.Develop and implement a comprehensive test automation strategy.Ensure test automation is integrated into the CI/CD pipeline for continuous testing.Ensure the automation framework is scalable, maintainable, and reusable across projects.Drive automation coverage metrics and identify areas for test optimization.Experience in running LARGE scale programs.Interface with executive leadership.This person will act as the primary interface between the team and other groups including the vendor, developers, LOB, senior management, and support organizations for all activities and issues pertaining to the project. They will also lead the testing effort and/or team to plan, construct and execute release tests and apply testing methodologies, principles, and processes to define and implement key metrics to manage and assess the testing process, including test execution and defect resolution.Depth & Scope:Leads multiple, broad and highly complex teams and/or projects which are diverse in scope (e.g., full line of business, tier 1-4 projects).Sets strategy and direction at an operational level, works autonomously in the management of the unit and collaborates with other business heads to establish and execute on common goals.Directs/manages activities spanning across multiple product lines/businesses, involving significant scope and complexity.Understands strategic direction and champions alliances to benefit the Bank and/or department.Directs the development of resolutions, plans and strategies for operational advancement.Key contact/representative internally and externally.Expert knowledge in project financial management and reporting.Sound knowledge of external industry trends in relation to competency.Advanced knowledge of business and/or delivery practices/disciplines.Knowledge of principles, practices and IT processes appropriate to the development and stewardship of quality delivery.Education & Experience:Undergraduate degree or Technical Certificate.Graduate degree, preferred.10+ years related experience.Preferred Qualifications:5+ years proven experience in test automation tools (e.g., Selenium, Cucumber, REST, JUnit, TestNG, TOSCA).5+ years of hands-on experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins).5+ years of demonstrated experience with programming languages (e.g., Java, Python, JavaScript).5+ years of direct experience with test management tools (e.g., Jira).Solid understanding of Agile methodologies and how automation fits into Agile workflows.Apply business and functional knowledge to meet the teams overall test objectives.Lead and develop testing strategies and scenarios for review with both project and business teams to ensure alignment with project delivery documentation.Coach and advise testers as required.Superior customer communication and expectations management.Exceptional understanding of software development and testing principles.Who We Are:TD is one of the world's leading global financial institutions and is the fifth largest bank in North America by branches/stores.
