COMPENSATION:$300 / WeeklyPOSITION SUMMARY:The Nurse serves as the manager for all things health care and health related.
Duties include, but are not necessarily limited to: supervision of the Nurse Assistant, organization and distribution of camper medications, supervision of health and cleanliness standards, providing health care for campers up to emergency support, keeping an accurate health center log,
communicating with parents, and overall working with camp director and staff to maintain a safe summer season.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:Manage health history and examination forms, as required.Follow established system for health screening for arriving campers and staff including checking for head lice.Conduct inventory of supplies prior to, during and after camp, and place orders when necessary, ensuring timely arrival of supplies.Establish and follow appropriate medical routines including record keeping in the daily medical log, disposal of medicine waste, managing and safeguarding medications, and utilizing approved standing orders.On-Call or as needed schedulingQUALIFICATIONS:Licensed to practice in the state of Hawaii as a registered nurseExperienced with children and young adults desirableAbility to originate, update, and/or monitor health care, maintain records, and implement the health care plan.CPR/First Aid and AED (required)TB test (required)Desire to work and live in a camp communityMust have current drivers license
