The Faculty of Health Sciences is seeking a Director to provide leadership to Central Animal Facility and its satellite locations.Core Accountabilities:Operational Leadership:Directing the day-to-day operations of eight animal facilities.Overseeing staffing resources and ensuring regulatory compliance.Directing management meetings and overseeing staff meetings.Strategic Planning:Participating in new construction and renovations of animal facilities.Adapting ongoing changes in technology and science.Relationships:Facilitating set-up and assessing equipment needs for grant applications.Maintaining relationships with suppliers and Facilities Services.Compliance, Security & Ethics:Implementing security measures and ensuring due diligence in training.Participating as a management representative on the Animal Research Ethics Board.Are you the right candidate?This role requires a minimum of 5 years leadership experience, preferably in a Laboratory Animal Facility in a unionized environment.
