Bring more to life.Are you ready to accelerate your potential and make a real difference within life sciences, diagnostics, and biotechnology?In this role, you will have the opportunity to:Maintain a solid understanding of Danaher’s Life Sciences Operating Companies, technology and product goals, and challenges in order to counsel and execute on intellectual property licensing that facilitate those goals and minimize those challenges.Develop an understanding of the intellectual property landscape of strategically imperative technologies and counsel business stakeholders and IP colleagues on in-licensing and out-licensing strategies.Align IP licensing strategies with Danaher business and strategic plans, including building and managing budget expectations, preparing for and attending strategy meetings as required to confirm alignment with evolving business and strategic plans and provide legal advice and counsel on relevant matters in a clear, concise and understandable manner that facilitates informed decision making by stakeholders.Negotiate, draft and review license agreements and other agreements with heavy IP license terms including collaboration agreements related to research and development of new agreements, commercial agreements.Build collaborative relationships within the Life Sciences legal team and Danaher’s legal community.The essential requirements of the job include:An advanced degree in biological science, microbiology, molecular biology or other field relevant to genomic medicine.Juris Doctor with excellent academic credentials from an accredited law school.Active bar membership in good standing in at least one US jurisdiction.A minimum of 10 years of intellectual property legal experience in-house at a company or a combination of law firm and in-house experience, including 7 years of hands-on experience in drafting and negotiating IP-related agreements.Experience working in a matrixed organization.Travel Requirements:Up to 20% Domestic and international travel will be required.It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:Admitted to practice before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office.The salary range for this role is $200,000-$215,000. This is the range that we in good faith believe is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting.
