The Black Rock Group (BRG) is hiring an Account Executive to join our growing team. The ideal candidate is organized and outgoing with strong writing skills and some prior work experience/internship in public relations, media, government or political campaigns. This is an entry-level position with opportunities to advance and develop skills in the public affairs field.BRG is a strategic communications and public affairs firm with extensive experience creating effective public policy, political and strategic communications campaigns. Our clients are part of the biggest debates in Washington and the nation, working on a variety of issues, including technology, energy, education and transportation.Responsibilities:
Draft and edit communications materials, including press releases, op-eds, memos and digital media contentResearch, analyze and monitor client issues, including press and social mediaDevelop an understanding of relevant reporters, policy experts and policymakers to inform account strategiesAssist with administrative tasks, scheduling and other responsibilitiesQualifications:
Strong writing skills and some familiarity with written communications materials and digital strategyAttention to detail with the ability to work efficiently and meet deadlinesKnowledge of and interest in current eventsExperience in graphic design, website development, or event planning is a plus, but not requiredRecent college graduates encouraged to applyBRG offers a competitive salary commensurate with experience and a comprehensive benefits package that includes:
