AmeriPath has highly trained, board-certified pathologists and Ph.D. level scientists providing services to physicians, hospitals, clinical laboratories and ambulatory surgery centers across the United States.AmeriPath and Diagnostics Pathology Services, Inc. is seeking a AP/CP Hematopathologist that will be based at Integris Health Southwest Medical Center, a community hospital with a busy oncology service in South Oklahoma City. For this role, the ideal candidate would have strong expertise in Hematopathology. The case mix will include bone marrows, heme consults, and peripheral blood smears. Some general surgical and frozen sign-out is to be expected.The role is suited for pathologists that have a commitment to patient care, diagnostic accuracy and teamwork within a regional hospital setting. The chosen pathologist will join a larger team of about 10 experienced pathologists with expertise in varying specialties.Oklahoma is a large city boasting arts, theatre, music, sports, natural beauty and outdoor recreation. The area offers low cost of living, a mild climate with distinct seasons, great educational opportunities and a growing food scene.MD or DO degree plus accredited pathology residency/fellowshipMust be board certified in anatomic and clinical pathologyMust be board certified in hematology or be board eligible5 years post residency experience desiredAbility to spend consecutive hours with continued focus, interpreting tissues and cellular preparations through a microscopeAbility to visually, audibly, and physically perform all job functionsMust hold valid unrestricted license to practice medicine in the state where practice is located or be eligible to obtain licensureMust hold active privileges in facility where any inpatient work is interpretedStrong customer focus and understanding of laboratory operationsAbility to communicate with decision makers in the laboratory and Company
