Engineering is a craft, and at Venmo we want the internals of our software to be as elegant as the end user experience we are designing.Your day to day:Managing a rapidly evolving technology stack on a diverse set of platforms ranging from Android, iOS, Rest services;Facilitating and driving key technology decisions with senior technology stakeholders;Be a mentor, technical leader and thought leader for a talented team of both front end engineers, challenging them and helping them grow;Partnering with product, technology, program management and analytics stakeholders to balance aggressive roadmap against engineering principles;Bring innovation to the table that helps in improving the resiliency of products you are responsible for, sell your ideas and be part of the change;Tracking business impact of features on a regular basis, and rely on performance data to make informed decisions about possible changes or improvements;Deep collaboration with cross functional engineering and product teams to evolve the reporting platform;What you need to bring:Experience in designing, implementing and maintaining high performance, high availability, large-scale mobile applications;Excellent communication skills and ability to grasp and convey complex product requirements or technical concepts;Ability to partner with business units, product management, program management and cross-functional teams to deliver business results with agility and high quality;Excellent time management skills and ability to work on concurrent assignments with different priorities;Proven results-oriented person with focus on customer experience and delivering quality products;8+ years' experience in Mobile Development;3+ years of experience managing and growing engineering teams that are responsible for large scale, high volume mobile applications;Strong knowledge of common design patterns, algorithms, and object-oriented programming with expertise in design patterns such as MVC and MVVM;Solid knowledge of Kotlin, Swift, web services (GraphQL, REST/JSON);Demonstrated development team building and people management skills;Strong understanding of testing best practices and familiarity with at least one testing framework for Mobile Development.Additional Job Description:Subsidiary:
