A law firm is currently seeking an Intellectual Property Litigation Associate Attorney for its Minneapolis location. The ideal candidate should have 2+ years of experience with patents and related complex technology litigation. A technical degree (e.g., electrical engineering, computer science/engineering, chemistry, biology, biomedical engineering) is strongly preferred, along with significant experience handling substantive patent issues. The candidate must have the ability to learn underlying technology, superior written and oral communication skills, a desire for teamwork, and excellent academic credentials. The Intellectual Property Litigation Associate Attorney will be a key member of the firm's legal team, specializing in handling complex technology litigation with a focus on patents.Duties:Handle complex technology litigation with a focus on patents.Address substantive patent issues related to various technical fields.Conduct legal research and analysis on intellectual property matters.Draft and file legal documents, pleadings, and motions.Collaborate with clients, experts, and other legal professionals.Provide legal counsel on patent-related disputes.Work closely with technology experts to understand underlying technologies.Requirements:Juris Doctor degree from a reputable law school.Active Bar membership in the state of Minnesota.2+ years of experience with patents and related complex technology litigation.Technical degree (e.g., electrical engineering, computer science/engineering, chemistry, biology, biomedical engineering) strongly preferred.Significant experience handling substantive patent issues.Ability to learn underlying technology.Skills:Strong legal research and analytical skills.Superior written and oral communication skills.Ability to collaborate effectively in a team.Desire for teamwork and a collaborative mindset.Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy.Knowledge of intellectual property laws and regulations.
