A law firm in New York City is actively seeking an Intellectual Property Litigation Associate Attorney with 1-6 years of experience in patent litigation. The ideal candidate should have a technical degree (e.g., chemistry, biology, engineering, or pharmaceutics), or significant experience handling substantive patent issues with the ability to learn underlying pharmaceutical and/or biologic-related subject matter. The role requires admission to a State Bar (New York preferred), superior written and oral communication skills, the ability to work comfortably in a team atmosphere, and excellent academic credentials.Duties:Handle substantive patent issues related to various technical disciplines.Learn and navigate pharmaceutical and/or biologic-related subject matter.Represent clients in intellectual property litigation matters.Draft legal documents, pleadings, and motions for patent litigation cases.Conduct legal research and analysis on patent laws and regulations.Collaborate with clients and legal teams to develop effective litigation strategies.Requirements:1-6 years of experience in patent litigation.Technical degree (chemistry, biology, engineering, or pharmaceutics) strongly preferred.Significant experience handling substantive patent issues is a plus.Admission to a State Bar, with preference for New York.Education:Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.Certifications:Admission to a State Bar, preferably in New York.Skills:Substantive knowledge of patent litigation.Legal research and analytical abilities.Excellent written and oral communication skills.Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.Comfortable handling complex intellectual property matters.Detail-oriented and organized approach to legal responsibilities.
