Role: Senior Financial Analyst

Location: Hybrid with travel 1 - 2 times a week to our TX OfficeAs a Senior Financial Analyst, you will have a critical position in scaling one of the fastest-growing private companies in the US. Hazel Health is the market leader, with 2-3x year-over-year growth for multiple years in a row. The Senior Financial Analyst will be part of a small and highly strategic team that is close to Hazel’s key initiatives. We are looking for someone who is highly analytical and data-driven, with strong business acumen. In this role, you will have visibility into the operations of a high-impact startup and will play an integral role in Hazel’s success. Oversee, coordinate, and facilitate the day-to-day execution of Hazel’s financial operating model with a focus on continuous improvementExecute a key role in the annual budgeting process, working closely with leadership to ensure alignment with our corporate initiativesGenerate and distribute accurate financial reports to senior management, highlighting key financial metrics and performance indicatorsLead monthly budget reviews with department heads to ensure alignment with the annual plan and to better inform the financial forecastTake ownership of our financial planning and analysis software (Anaplan), including building out new functionality for deeper strategic analysesCollaborate with cross-functional teams to gather data, analyze trends, and identify areas for operational efficiency and improvementPrepare monthly variance analysis of actuals to forecast & budget, and investigate any major discrepancies to continuously improve forecast accuracyConduct in-depth financial analysis to identify actionable insights based on trends, risks, and opportunitiesAssist in the analysis and presentation of strategic materials to key leadership meetings as well as board meetingsWork closely with the accounting team to ensure connectivity with finance and accounting processesQualifications

2-4 years of financial experience, preferably at a start-up/high-growth environment in an FP&A roleStrong financial modeling skills with a diverse set of modeling experiences (i.e. 3 statements, cash flow forecasting, variable labor modeling, revenue forecasting, etc.)Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting or other related fieldAbility to work autonomously in a fast-paced growth environmentStrong business and financial acumenStrong attention to detail and follow-up skills with the ability to identify and resolve issuesExcellent analytical, diagnostic, and problem-solving skillsExperience with Anaplan or other financial planning software is a bonusExperience with Sage Intacct or other accounting software is a bonusEdtech, SaaS, or healthcare company experience a bonusBenefits

Total compensation for this role is market competitive, with a base salary range of $95,000 - $110,000, a 401k match, healthcare coverage, paid-time off, and a broad range of other benefits and perks.Hazel partners with schools and families to provide physical and mental virtual health care that helps students feel better and get back to learning.
