The Sales/Applications Engineer opening is specifically for the Industrial Gas group within Cryoquip. Sales/Applications Engineers are the direct technical link between customers and the internal groups of the organization responsible for sales and growth of market share within the growing liquid hydrogen fueling market domestically and internationally. Daily tasks include process design for customer tailored proposals, product development, proposal formulation, and sales negotiations (both technical and commercial) to ultimately win projects and grow the business. Secondary tasks could include project management and execution.Essential FunctionsCustomer development including travel to customer location and project sitesIncrease sales for equipment and systems to existing and new customersProcess design (both fluid and heat transfer) to create the most efficient and cost-effective solution for the customerProposal creation adhering to the technical specifications and unique problem statementsAttention to detail in technical specification review and properly identifying the applicable requirements, taking exception to those that don’t apply.Project ManagementCoordinate with local Business Development and/or Product Managers to cover the Industrial Gas Market globallySense of adventure and fun. This is an engineering design role that requires custom solution design and problem solving. Knowledge of thermal and fluid engineering concepts, equipment knowledge, problem solving skills, detailed oriented, results driven, organizational skills, group work efficiency, technical aptitude of systems, software (Autocad) is a plus, personable, strong communication and people skills.Support Responsibilities:Coordinate with internal groups including Engineering, Procurement, and Production for proper proposal and project executionProvides assistance for dynamic system calculations, including heat loads, temperature swings, etc. for project executionAssists with project cost analysis and monitoring to maintain project budgetAssists with developing and implementing test procedures for internal FAT's / Functional testsTravel:Domestic travel required. International as needed.Required Education Experience:Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering or similar discipline.
