Dynamic special exhibitions, cultural celebrations, and public programs for all ages provide rich art experiences that unlock the past and spark questions about the future.The Asian Art Museum is actively recruiting for a Graphic Designer who will conceive, design, and produce printed and digital materials for all areas of visual communication representing the museum. These materials include exhibition and program graphics, gallery guides, short-term exhibition branding programs, advertisements, web materials, brochures, the membership magazine, invitations, and other collateral. Working with a variety of internal clients, the Graphic Designer develops designs that meet time, budget, and logistical constraints. The Graphic Designer ensures that all materials adhere to brand guidelines, reflect high standards of creativity, and support the museum’s artistic vision and business goals.The incumbent must work well with multiple deadlines and plurality in communication styles and have experience working with vendors and service-providers to see projects through from concept to completion.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Coordinates and effectively administers the workflow of the graphic design function by developing high-quality, accurate designs and layouts for museum projects.Generates creative ideas and develops original design concepts in workshops and in feedback meetings; encourages “design-thinking” across all stakeholder departments; presents and advocates design solutions.Provides high-standard creative input and expertise in support of promotional campaigns for the museum.Produces professional-quality promotional, exhibition and campaign collateral for print and digital dissemination.Works creatively within a set of brand guidelines and ensures that all material in use by the organization meet brand specifications.Performs other related duties as assigned.MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communication, or a related fieldThree (3) years of related experience in online and offline creative development, graphic design, and production; or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience demonstrated in a portfolio of representative work.Strong understanding of design principles, techniques, and technologies; a strong visual sense and a solid understanding of the creative processes involved in creating high quality online and offline materials.Advanced Adobe Creative Suite skills, familiarity with Macintosh platform.Ability to understand and internalize a brand and translate it into materials; develop creative approaches; see the big picture while paying impeccable attention to detail.Sensitivity to and appreciation of cultural differences and communicating with culturally diverse audiences.Outstanding written and oral communications skills.Self-motivated and goal-oriented team player.WORKING CONDITIONS

The Asian Art Museum is committed to practicing salary transparency. The hourly range for this position is
$36.7359 - $44.1208 /hr.
