Job SummaryThe Chief of Philanthropy plays a pivotal role in advancing the mission of our organization through strategic fundraising and community engagement initiatives. This leadership position is responsible for developing and implementing comprehensive philanthropic strategies that enhance donor relationships, secure funding, and promote the organization's visibility in the community. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in nonprofit management and demonstrate exceptional skills in grant writing, public relations, and budget management.ResponsibilitiesDevelop and execute a strategic fundraising plan that aligns with the organization's mission and goals.Cultivate relationships with current and prospective donors, ensuring effective communication and engagement.Oversee grant writing efforts to secure funding from foundations, corporations, and government entities.Manage public relations initiatives to enhance the organization's image and outreach efforts.Prepare and monitor budgets related to philanthropic activities, ensuring financial accountability.Collaborate with the Executive Director to identify funding priorities and opportunities.Negotiate partnerships with other organizations to expand philanthropic efforts.Utilize software tools, social media platforms, and media outlets for effective communication and marketing strategies.Prepare, maintain, and refine all grant reporting.SkillsProven experience in grant writing with a successful track record of securing funding.Strong marketing skills to effectively promote the organization's mission and initiatives.Excellent public relations abilities to foster positive community relationships.Proficient in budgeting processes within a nonprofit context.Knowledge of multiple fundraising strategies as it pertains to charitable giving is highly desirable.Demonstrated expertise in nonprofit management principles.Familiarity with social media management, website management, and/or email marketing campaigns.Strong negotiation skills to build partnerships that benefit the organization’s philanthropic goals.Proficient in relevant software applications that support fundraising activities.This position offers an exciting opportunity for an experienced professional to lead philanthropic efforts that make a meaningful impact on our community while fostering a culture of giving within our organization.Job Type:
