The Associate Manager is responsible for developing strong and effective business partner relationships with senior leaders, external stakeholders, company principal and creatives that lead to on-going strategic partnerships. This position within PacSun/PSEB handles strategy, product development, sourcing, and production support within a variety of product categories under the licensed apparel F.O.G. Essentials.A day in the life, what you’ll be doing:In conjunction with Product Manager, manage the pre-production style changes, and approval calendar through team sign-off for each placed order.Manage the pre-production approval process from turnover of tech packs to ensure delivery dates are maintained, via internal and external calendars.Maintain communication with Designers and Buyers to accommodate last minute changes in response to fashion trends.Present and maintain visibility of timeline for placement “calendar” by product category.Manage the final approval process for warehouse flow and payment release.Manage the on-time quality delivery of merchandise.Maintain Style/purchase/Order files, including accountability for PO revisions.Monitor status of orders/shipping to ensure Delivery Exception report reflects correct dates and comments.Achieve Company goals for seasonal inventory levels.Achieve IMU targets with quality, floor ready merchandise.In conjunction with Product Manager, source product, negotiate production prices and place orders to ensure IMU’s are exceeded.Initiate proactive internal communication for changes impacting other areas of responsibility e.g. pre-ticketing, payments or ship dates.Ability to quickly identify a problem and provide a suggested course of corrective action.Identify potential production, quality, and costing issues and make recommendations to ensure brand integrity.Collaborative, energetic and hands-on team player.Nimble and flexible with regard to changing priorities and business needs.Build and strengthen strategic relationships; successfully partner across varied functions and levels with senior internal stakeholders, external suppliers, agencies, and colleagues to drive results and influence change.Support and maintain F.O.G. Essentials calendar in accordance with required delivery dates.Manage to category performance targets and lead to achieve goals; hold vendors accountable to performance agreements and implement course corrections and mitigation strategies as needed.What it takes to Join:4 year related DegreeMinimum of 3 years of experience as an Assistant or Associate Product Manager in a corporate retail apparel environmentDomestic and international sourcing experienceExcellent oral and written communication skillsAbility to work as a team memberKeen sense of urgencyAbility to work under pressure in an environment of constant shifting priorities and changes.Understanding of global fashion and F.O.G.
