DescriptionSAIC is seeking a
SETA Systems Engineer
to fill a critical position on the LANDMARK AOS program in Chantilly, VA. LANDMARK AOS is SAIC’s Prime SETA program, supporting the customer’s Ground Enterprise Directorate (GED), responsible for the acquisition of systems over the complete end-to-end life cycle.As the SETA Systems Engineer, you will provide specialized engineering expertise supporting system-level architecture analysis for advanced ground innovative software services. SAIC’s client is tasked with leading the integration of mission-focused tools to foster increased efficiency, automation, and information sharing. You will also assist and advise Government managers in evaluating and transitioning innovative technologies for the customer's Ground Enterprise.Job Responsibilities include:Interact with Government project management and functional managers to define the scope of work for projects and develop and update detailed schedules.Use Microsoft Project to organize, implement, and maintain multiple schedules for the various program technical branches.Integrate developer schedules to generate and maintain an accurate Organization-level master schedule.Evaluate project schedule progress and performance, identify any variances, and highlight developing problem areas.Analyze critical path and constraints to determine the effect of changes to the schedule and recommend work-arounds.Use Government CM tools to store, track, and manage configuration items.Coordinate project-level impact analyses of proposed engineering changes.Support agile process evolution across Government teams, development contractors, user engagement teams, and stakeholders.Derive enterprise, system, functional, performance, and interface level requirements and work with the team to develop the corresponding documentation.QualificationsRequired Education and Experience:Bachelors and fourteen (14) years or more experience; Masters and twelve (12) years or more experience; PhD or JD and nine (9) years or more experience. Relevant experience may be substituted in lieu of degree.Active and current Top Secret/SCI clearance with the ability to obtain a Polygraph.Demonstrated experience in managing technical, cost, and schedule performance of software development programs.Experience/Knowledge with the IC acquisition cycle, requirements processes, budgetary practices, and acquisition documentation.Demonstrated capability and success working in team environments.Strong oral and written communication ability on significant technical matters often requiring coordination within a high-tempo environment.Good working knowledge of MS Office applications and Atlassian collaboration tools.Experience supporting the IC.
