OverviewThe role of the Applications Support Specialist is to provide technical leadership and remote support to deliver excellent service to various C Spire. Three or more years of progressively technical experience is highly desired. We are looking for an individual who is eager to learn, highly customer focused, patient, an effective communicator, self-initiating, has a positive attitude, and can prioritize and execute tasks without micro-management. The role will involve providing leadership and technical direction to junior staff, while also solving some of the more advanced technical problems for our customers.

Responsibilities
Managing Service Requests, Incidents, and Problems through a ticketing system
Ensure day to day operations of IT infrastructure
Answering Inbound Service Calls as necessary
Advanced troubleshooting and administration of Windows based applications, Operating Systems (Desktop and Server) and Server Roles (AD DS, DHCP, DNS, DFS, Print Server, File Server, etc.)
Administration and troubleshooting of Citrix servers
Administration and troubleshooting of Microsoft Azure
Basic system administration and troubleshooting of database technologies/software
Leading periodic technical meetings
Completion of a yearly training plan/required certifications
Work includes occasional weekend or after hours time, when necessary
Serve in on-call rotation
Any other task or duty as assigned or required
Qualifications
REQUIRED
Associates degree in Computer Science or a related technical field, or equivalent years of relevant technical experience.
Familiarity with basic networking technologies and concepts.
PREFERRED
Citrix Certifications or experience.
VMware Certifications or experience.
Administrator/Engineer level Microsoft Certifications
Leadership and management experience
Advanced experience in the following is helpful:
Windows 10
Microsoft Server 2012 or higher
Microsoft Active Directory
Microsoft Office Suite/O365
VMware and other hypervisors
Citrix
EMR/EHR/Practice Management Suites
Networking/Switching hardware
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS AND WORKING CONDITIONS:
Candidate should have reliable transportation, have the ability to lift 75 pounds, and should expect to spend a considerable amount of time seated throughout the day.
