GCyber is seeking a driven and proactive
Business Development Representative
to support full lifecycle business development efforts within the Defense Information Systems Agency and Defense Agency (4th Estate, DAFA, CCMD) accounts. In this role, you will be responsible for the full lifecycle of business development, from identifying and qualifying opportunities to developing capture strategies and supporting pre-RFP activities to secure new business.
The ideal candidate will have 1-3 years of experience in federal government services or product sales focusing on DISA or Defense Agency accounts.
Key Responsibilities :Opportunity Identification and Market Research
Identify and qualify new business opportunities within target federal agencies through proactive engagement, market research, and participation in industry events, resulting in a robust and actionable pipeline.Stay informed on agency priorities, acquisition strategies, and industry trends to support strategic positioning and identify potential opportunities.Conduct background research on potential opportunities to understand scope, requirements, and procurement strategy.
Opportunity Capture
Develop capture strategies, including customer engagement plans, teaming strategies, and win themes.Execute customer call plans and participate in meetings, conferences, and industry events to engage with potential customers and build rapport.Develop and maintain relationships with key government stakeholders, including program managers, contracting officers, and decision-makers.Coordinate with internal stakeholders to align solutions and develop win strategies based on your comprehensive understanding of customer needs.Manage the capture process to shape the opportunity and build a strong value proposition.Support proposal efforts by providing thorough capture details, competitive analysis, and customer intelligence.
Pipeline Management and Reporting
Maintain and update the account pipeline and pursuit manager, ensuring accurate opportunity information, notes, and status updates.Participate in weekly review meetings to present the status of active opportunities and capture plans.Prepare and present opportunities at gate reviews as they mature through the pipeline.
Qualifications:
3-5 years of overall professional experience, with 1-3 years of experience in business development, software/hardware sales, value-added reseller roles, or capture management within the federal government sector.Prior experience and relationships within DISA or other Defense Agencies and Field Activities (DAFAs)Familiarity with federal contracting processes and government procurement vehicles (e.g., GSA Schedule, SEWP, CHESS).Passion for IT services and leveraging technology to enhance national security; capable of understanding and translating customer needs to solutions.Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a demonstrated ability to engage effectively with stakeholders at all levels.Competitive drive and a genuine desire to succeed in a sales environment.
Work Location:
This will be a hybrid role, with 3 days onsite expected at GCyber Corporate Headquarters in Arlington, VAPeriodic travel will be required to meet with prospective customers, attend industry events, and support business development activities.
