OverviewCobb EMC has an exciting opportunity for a
Director, Infrastructure & Operations
to deploy technology to help achieve the mission and vision of the Cooperative. Provide leadership for Cobb EMC by delivering a reliable future state infrastructure design, according to our technology roadmap and plan.
For infrastructure and operations, own excellent user experience, program excellence, performance and availability.
Work with peers to ensure designs deliver on overall technology security.
Navigate through complexity and solve for the overall technology integration needs, balancing cloud and on-premises needs.
Lead and work with cross functional teams in a way everyone understands the needs, risks, options, costs, decisions, and expected outcomes. Direct the implementation of the IT technical architecture to ensure a timely and cost-effective flow of information among stakeholders. Direct the efforts of overall enterprise architecture, support center services, and overall IT operations.
Schedule: Monday-Friday 8am-5pm *This is an in-office position*

ResponsibilitiesWhat you will be doing:
Technology Management
IT Operations Security- Domain/ Cloud; fostering a future design state that optimizes reliability, security, and sustainability.
Help-desk/ Customer Support/ Service desk, delivering on operation excellence and engaging user experience.
Asset inventory management to account for all key devices, lifecycle management.
Change Management to position Cobb EMC to achieve our mission and vision, regarding our infrastructure performance.
Lead cross functional teams in the change management process to drive clear understanding of needs and user adoption.
Contract Management must be effective by working with other functions for clear terms and conditions.
Business Continuity management to ensure system availability to reliability performance metrics.
Print Services, MS licensing, lifecycle management, vendor performance (SLAs, Risk and Performance Management).
Op's Systems
Active Directory/ Azure AD, Storage Area Networks, Virtual Environment design and management, Backups and Disaster Recovery Requirements, Desktop/Server optimization and deployment, printers and contract management, vendor management, and SLAs.
Systems Operations and Development
Analyze
and interpret system needs and problems, balancing technology requirements, financial exposure and risk.
Ensure
cooperation between the Corporation and third-party vendors in the implementation of system software.
Make
strategic plans and recommendations for system growth and development.
Ensure
all system operations and development are completed with end-to-end testing prior to deployment.
Equipment and Software Selection, Purchase, and Maintenance
Ensure
technology decisions and vendor agreements are based on the best economical choice for the Corporation.
Ensure
maintenance is performed on a pre-scheduled basis.
Optimizes processes for continuous improvement.
Team Leadership
Provide
technical direction and support to other members of the operations and services team(s).
Demonstrated
ability to deal with internal and external conflicts at business and personnel level.
Budget and Work Plan
Ensure
budget and plans are prepared annually, with spend and periods aligned and defined in the overall annual budget.
Manage
departmental/project expenditures to financial plans (OpEX and CapEX).
Supervision
Handle
all aspects of employment for subordinate staff, including hiring, promotion, training, and termination.
Appropriately
document actions in employment issues.
Coach
and direct learning through direct involvement and reinforcement.
Monitor
performance and conduct performance planning and review sessions.
QualificationsMinimum Requirements:
Bachelor’s
Degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related field.
Minimum
Ten (10) years of experience in Information/Computer Services including five (5) years management experience
SKILLS:
Set
direction and oversees the Enterprise Information Technology Architecture.
Manage
the discovery of emerging technologies; provide leadership for the introduction of new technologies.
Define and deploy
strategic plans and recommendations for system growth.
Manage
the selection of hardware, software, and the execution of related services agreements.
Demonstrated
ability to analyze and interpret system needs/solutions for very complex problems.
Proven
ability to manage departmental expenditures and budget.
Proven
understanding of business architecture, leading the way for the business to adopt and incorporate in design projects.
Ability
to address all standard and non-standard architecture technology capability questions for internal or external customers.
Maintain
and ensure compliance of the day-to-day Configuration and Resolution Management processes for IT.
Responsible
for managing our blackout calendar, working with other parties to align schedules for compliance.
Ensure
software management (o/s and ancillary supporting system s/w) and quality assurance testing processes are followed.
Excellent
oral and written communication skills;
Proven
supervisory skills;
Ability
to handle confidential information.
PREFERRED:
Previous
utility industry experience.
Solid understanding of cloud environments, including on premises design integration and coordination.
Moves with clear definition to program plans, service and system reliability – keeping the security of our network key.
