We are looking for a motivated
Packaging & Cellar Assistant
to support the packaging process and maintain a clean, efficient fermentation cellar. This role will assist in packaging, cellar maintenance, and general brewery operations while adhering to safety and quality standards. The position reports to our Royal Oak production facility and may include shifts at our other locations.
Job Responsibilities:
Packaging
Carbonate beer to desired volume and perform carbonation checksKeg beer from brite tanksSet up, operate, and clean Wild Goose canning line across locationsClean in Place/Sanitation
CIP and sanitize fermentation vessels and brite tanksTransfer beer from fermentation vessels to brite tanksCIP and sanitize kegs and maintain inventory of clean kegs using Kegshoe trackingClean external surfaces of fermentation vessels and brite tanksContinuous cleaning and organization of brewery and miscellaneous partsClean kegsBrewery Assistance
Communication with Brewer on daily tasks to be doneAssist with gravity checks, temperature, and pH readings throughout the fermentation processFruit and dry hop beerPitch and harvest yeastPrepare grain for brew daysAssisting across all locations if/when neededAdditional Responsibilities
Follow all SOPs and safety protocolsDemonstrate careful attention to detailFrequent problem-solvingComplete tasks contained on the cellar schedule safely and efficientlyCommunicate clearly with brew team and other cellarpersons throughout the day to maintain positive workflow and work environmentDrive forkliftDrive company vehiclesRequirements
Ability to stand for extended periods of time and plenty of walkingWork with hot, cold and hazardous equipment and materialsAbility to frequently lift and/or move up to 55 pounds and be able to move/lift kegs
