Job Description

Per Diem Registered Nurses must commit to work a minimum of seventy-two (72) hours per six (6) week scheduling period as follows: At least twenty-four (24) hours of the seventy-two (72) hours must be weekend shift hours and at least twenty-four (24) hours of the seventy-two (72) hours must be scheduled for the evening or night shift. These hours can be combined to meet the requirements. A minimum of one (1) summer and one (1) winter holiday may be required. Hours may vary based on the operational needs of the department. This position will work at 8501 Excelsior Dr. in Madison, WI.

We are seeking a

Registered Nurse (RN)

to:Assist referring providers with urgent care needs for their adult and pediatric patients. You may arrange transportation on UW Med Flight or CHETA (Children's Hospital Emergency Transport Ambulance). These services are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.Act as the clinical liaison to centralize and simplify the process of providing the appropriate level of care for the patient.Ensure a multidisciplinary team approach while working to provide access for the best care of the patient and family.At UW Health, you will have :

Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) PreferredWork Experience

1 year of relevant clinical RN experience in acute care medical/surgical nursing RequiredRecent experience in phone triage, phone processing, discharge planning, or case management PreferredPrevious experience within the UW Health system PreferredLicenses & Certifications

Licensed as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the state(s) where patients are receiving care or may work as eligible per state licensing regulations Upon Hire Required
