Job Description
Boston University Information Services & Technology (IS&T) is seeking applicants with diverse skills and experiences to join our innovative and inclusive community. As the Senior Executive Assistant, you will be a highly-visible strategic partner that reports directly to the IS&T CIO and supports the IS&T CIO with effective decision-making, process management. You will provide executive level administrative support to the CIO while ensuring the timely and effective completion of initiatives across IS&T. In this role, you will foster alignment and collaboration across the unit and serve as a liaison between the CIO and internal and external contacts. The Senior Executive Assistant will act as an extension of the CIO, assessing all communication and determining priority and proper next steps. This position will be involved in long-term planning and projects as well as immediate needs and issues to implement the CIOs vision and achieve goals. This is a hybrid position that will require some in person work at the Boston University Charles River Campus.
You Will:Work directly with the CIO to support all aspects of their daily work routine. This will include triaging the CIO's email, managing the CIO's calendar and schedule, coordinating travel arrangements, and completing expense reports.Lead cross-functional strategic initiatives, including long-term planning projects and the management of short-term issues. Track CIO initiatives and follow up on action items. Handle the oversight of processes that fall between departments or leadership areas of responsibility.Plan and execute the deliverables of presentations for meetings, processes, or events. Prepare documents, reports, presentations, and correspondence. Provide business analysis of related data and recommend ideal presentation.Foster alignment and collaboration across the unit and serve as a liaison between the CIO and internal/external contacts. Keep the CIO advised of time-sensitive and priority issues, ensuring appropriate follow-up. Recommend shifts in priority based on emerging issues. Stay informed of all projects and processes within the unit as well as the culture of the unit and the University.Organize and coordinate events, meetings, and conferences, including a regular cycle of all-staff, manager, and leadership meetings. Handle logistics for remote staff to attend in-person events as needed.
Required Skills
You Will Have:
5 or more years of experience
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, and Excel)
