Job Description
Boston University Information Services & Technology is seeking an experienced Analyst to join the Applications team as a Functional Analyst III. As the Functional Analyst, you will be responsible for:
Acquiring and analyzing business/functional requirements, design & technical specification management, creating journey maps, prototyping, process design (including scenario design, flow mapping) to support goals and growth at Boston University's Development and Alumni Engagement office.Working with multiple enterprise CRM systems (Blackbaud CRM, Salesforce CRM) as well as other smaller peripheral systems to achieve their goals.Attend and conduct discovery sessions with internal clients and also take on light Project Management duties for small operational projects.Troubleshoot and solve complex problems and must have strong problem-solving skills.Author, edit, and maintain a variety of documents including business and functional requirements, agile stories and user acceptance criteria, training materials, knowledge articles and standard operating procedures.Required Skills
You will have:
Bachelors or Masters Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business or other related field; or equivalent work experience.5-7 years of work experience as a business or functional analyst with demonstrated knowledge in multiple information systems software implementations. Higher Ed information system process implementation experience is desirable.Experience with Salesforce cloud products is required, with Education Cloud experience highly desirable.Experience with business process and information systems modeling techniques such as UML or BPMN.Understanding of project management concepts and frameworks such as Agile, Prince 2, Scrum.Experience with working on multiple projects/issues of medium to high complexity at the same time.Have demonstrated knowledge of working on projects from across multiple functional areas and business segments.Effective oral and written communication skills to work with subject matter experts (SMEs) and business partners within the University to elicit the information necessary for technical design.Be deadline driven with little oversight and a team player.Be able to adapt to new industry technologies and changing business requirements.Boston University offers an excellent benefits package including:
