Associate Attorney, Labor & Employment - 1789877Los Angeles office of national law firm seeking lateral attorney candidates with three to five years of experience (classes of 2018 - 2020)to join its Labor and Employment group. Candidates should have strong legal and academic backgrounds and have experience in state and federal courts, arbitration and mediation, representing management in cases, potential claims, and in advisory capacity in matters involving wage & hour issues; workplace discrimination and harassment; employment contracts; compensation and benefits; disability; privacy rights; unfair competition; whistleblower claims; trade secrets; restrictive covenants; internal investigations; employee handbooks; unions and collective bargaining; and employee hiring, discipline and termination.
Ideal candidates will be experienced handling class action lawsuits as well as claims brought under the California Private Attorneys General Act ("PAGA" claims), including at the trial level, and dealing with expert witnesses and reports.
Associates will take and defend depositions, argue motions, counsel clients, investigate claims, interview witnesses, participate in trials, hearings, mediations and arbitrations, and will work directly with partners on all aspects of cases. Candidates must be admitted to practice in California. Compensation range is $240,000-$275,000 (plus generous performance bonuses), depending on experience.
