You will select suppliers through qualification processes, own supplier results, drive improvements utilizing supplier scorecards, own supplier audits, ensure compliance, and drive improvement plans where needed. You should have in-depth knowledge of quality management best practices and have working knowledge of competition and the factors that differentiate them in the market.This role is eligible for remote work - preference in the states listed that are near major GE Aerospace suppliers: CA, CO, IL, IN, KY, MA, MI, OH, OR, SC, WA.Job DescriptionRoles and ResponsibilitiesManage supplier qualifications, action plans, audits, performance monitoring, and assisting key suppliers towards industrial standards of excellenceDrive root cause and corrective action plans across suppliersIdentify process improvements needed to drive better first time yield resulting in improved deliveryCollaborate with Design and Manufacturing Engineers on design for manufacturability improving producibilityIdentifying gaps in quality system driving corrective actions needed to closureBalance both tactical execution with strategic initiatives necessary to drive cost reduction projectsPresent product/program strategies, roadmaps, risks and recommendations to senior leadersActs as a resource for colleagues with less experienceUtilize technical experience and expertise for data analysis to support recommendationsTravel from 25% to 50% requiredBasic QualificationsBachelor's degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma/GED with a minimum of 4 years of experience in Quality Systems, Quality Engineering, Supplier Quality or Supply Chain Manufacturing)A minimum of 5 years' experience in Quality Systems, Quality Engineering, Supplier Quality or Supply Chain ManufacturingDesired CharacteristicsStrong background in supplier quality and supplier managementSub-commodity leadership experienceExperience in airfoils or structural castingsExperience with Investment Casting ProcessExperience managing quality or manufacturing teamsStrong interpersonal and leadership skillsDemonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problemsEstablished project management skillsThe base pay range for this position is 115,000.00 - 130,000.00. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate’s experience, education, and skill set.
