to join Grid Software's Power Technologies International (PTI) team. This role is critical to the planning and integration of renewables, storage, and FACTS to the electrical grid and to perform large-scale simulations of electrical transmission systems for clients such as power producers, independent system operators, and transmission providers to develop solutions for safe and reliable power system operations.This is a remote position based in the Contiguous U.S.You'll make an impact as you:Perform power system transient analysis using appropriate RMS and EMT software tools to evaluate integration of renewable generation, battery energy storage, and FACTS.Prepare detailed written reports describing analyses performed, conclusions, and recommendations.Organize and lead small project teams ensuring deliverables are of high quality and projects are completed within budget and schedule.Develop automation scripts to improve the speed and accuracy of simulations and analysis.Provide EMT technical leadership and share knowledge with colleagues.Support proposal preparation by developing project plans, budgets, and timelines.You'll win us over by having the following qualifications:Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering with a specialization in Power and Energy Systems.Professional industry experience performing transient analysis using PSCAD/EMTDC or EMTP-RV.A minimum of 6 years of professional relevant experience (consulting, utility, National Lab) in the electric power industry.Knowledge of transmission system planning and/or operations.Ability to travel 10% domestically.Preferred qualifications:Prior experience in Power System Consulting.Experience evaluating transient stability of large transmission systems using PSSE, TSAT, or PSLF.Master's degree or PhD degree in electrical engineering with a specialization in power and energy systems.Experience developing scripts to automate execution and analysis of simulations.You'll benefit from:Siemens offers a variety of health and wellness benefits to our employees.
