Step into the role of Senior Manager of Strategic Performance Improvement at Southern California Edison (SCE) and help shape a brighter future. Here, you'll steer our Environmental, Health, Safety, and Quality (EHSQ) organization towards operational excellence. Leading a team of advisors, you’ll support various EHSQ management systems encompassing people, processes, and technology. This challenging role requires strategic vision, initiative development skills, effective prioritization, proficient project management, and knowledge in Lean/Six Sigma for continuous improvement. Responsible for both strategic planning and the implementation of crucial initiatives, this position is highly visible across the company. A crucial part of your routine involves frequent communications with Operating Unit (OU) heads, other executives like Directors and Vice Presidents, and external partners.

ResponsibilitiesDevelops and implements business operating plans which align with Operating Unit or enterprise business strategy and short, medium-term objectives.Develops and implements business operations risk management strategies.Leads the prioritization of strategic planning scenarios which effectively address business challenges while successfully achieving operational performance metrics.Defines business metrics, evaluate impact of new and existing initiatives, and initiate and implement changes to improve ongoing operations.Administers projects including planning, strategizing, coordination, implementation and quality control.Designs project management systems/tools to facilitate work processes, records management, and communications.Oversees the undertaking of data gathering for the development of strategies based upon the market.Oversees the allocation of resources, ensures delivery of sufficient support to a business function.A material job duty of all positions within the Company is ensuring the protection of all its physical, financial and cybersecurity assets, and properly accessing and managing private customer data, proprietary information, confidential medical records, and other types of highly sensitive information and data with the highest standards of conduct and integrity.
Minimum QualificationsFive or more years of experience supervising a team of direct reports and/or project management.Leading business operations analysis.
Preferred QualificationsBachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Business, Economics or other related discipline.Consulting experience.Experience presenting to executive-level.Electrical engineering experience and knowledge.Demonstrated experience using forecasting and analytical tools to support business decisions.Experience developing and delivering technical presentations to both technical and non-technical audiences.
You should knowThis position’s work mode is hybrid. The employee will report to an SCE facility for a set number of days with the option to work remotely on the remaining days. Unless otherwise noted, employees are required to reside in the state of California. Further details of this work mode will be discussed at the interview stage.
