Position Summary
Performs repetitive bench or line assembly operates to mass produce products such as electric fans, attic vents and other components or sub-assemblies by performing the following duties:
Primary Accountabilities:
Position Parts in specified relationship to each other Positions parts to knowledge of the unit being assembled or following blueprints. Cross trained across various production line to fasten parts together with bolts screws, clips, rivets or other fasteners. Works at a workstation as a member of the assembly group assembling one or two specific parts and passing units to another worker. Tend to machines such as rivet machines, rollers, screw gins, power tools or other equipment to assist in assembly operations.
Secondary accountabilities
In addition to the accountabilities listed above, individuals may perform duties as assigned, including work in other functional areas to cover absences or relief, to equalize peak work periods or otherwise to balance the workload.
Position Qualifications
Competencies
To perform the job successfully, an individual should demonstrate the following competencies:
Education and/or Experience
Highschool education; or one month to three months of related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Language/Reasoning Ability/Mathematical Skills
Ability to add, subtract, count in simple units of measurement and or whole numbers. Ability to read, write and speak basic English and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to read and write simple lists.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand for most of the 8 hour shift. Must have the ability to use hands to handle, grab, lift, pull or feel; reach with hands and arms. The employee is frequently required to stoop, kneel, and crouch. The employee must regularly lift and /or move up to 35 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds.
