Job ID: 2836224 | Amazon.com Services LLCThe AMER Data Services Team is seeking a Senior Business Analyst to design, develop, and manage world-class reporting and analytics that serve and support Worldwide Operations Security, including data interpretation, trending analysis, and overall department initiatives. In this position, you will research data and develop tools in various systems to support AMER and Global initiatives. You will interact extensively with cross-functional groups such as database engineering, operations teams, stakeholder groups, software developers, and leadership. Excellent listening, writing, verbal communication skills, and strong technical competency are essential. You will build and deliver on-time database platforms and ensure proper integration with other applications and systems through effective web-based development. You must have a desire to drive the permanent removal of defects and ensure the highest quality of service is provided in an efficient, effective, and proactive manner.
Key Job Responsibilities
The role of a Worldwide Operations Security (WWOS) Senior Business Analyst (BA) is to design and develop data visualization dashboards and tools and provide analyses and insights that serve and support the organizations Global and AMER-wide goals and initiatives. The role requires collaborating with cross-functional groups such as database engineering, operations, Security & Loss Prevention (S&LP) field teams, software development, product, and program management. The data, tools, and analyses developed by Senior WWOS BAs enable the field and leadership teams to identify key performance indicators, areas of focus and opportunity and are crucial to achieving business-specific and organizational goals. Senior WWOS BAs support anywhere from two (2) to four (4) customer groups and work on three (3) to five (5) projects at a time, many of which have AMER region and/or Global impact. Each customer group has various subsets of stakeholders, processes, and data flow, making it critical for the Senior WWOS BAs to understand the intricacies of each group to ensure tool and data accuracy. Additionally, Senior WWOS BAs must manage conflicting priorities, communicate barriers, outline timelines and project plans to key stakeholders and have the ability to root cause problems and independently iterate solutions.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree3+ years of writing SQL queries and creating business intelligence reports using Tableau, Power BI experience3+ years of Excel or Tableau (data manipulation, macros, charts, and pivot tables) experienceExperience defining requirements and using data and metrics to draw business insightsExperience in financial/business analysisExperience with QuickSight dashboard and visual creationExperience making business recommendations and influencing stakeholders

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $106,400/year in our lowest geographic market up to $185,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
