The Regional HR Manager will manage the HR Managers and Generalists throughout the region, ensuring implementation of HR programs for consistency in operations across all Daybreak Foods locations. Areas of focus include workforce planning, recruitment, training, affirmative action, HRIS implementation, managing the FMLA process, vendor management, employee engagement, etc. In addition, this role will conduct internal audits and investigations and be a coach and resource to the site HR team. Spanish/English bilingual preferred.This position will be remote with travel to regional farms and meetings. It will report to the Director of Human Resources as part of the HR leadership team.Key ResponsibilitiesPlan, develop, organize, implement, direct, support, and evaluate the organization’s employee relations program that consists of equitable human resource policies and practices. Translate strategic and tactical business plans into HR strategic and operational plans. Provide technical advice and knowledge to other leaders regarding human relations.Oversee continuous improvement and report on the impact of long-range planning of new programs/strategies and regulatory action as they affect the attraction, inspiration, engagement, development, and retention of the organization’s human capital resources.Provide risk management mitigation with oversight of employment programs to protect the company’s financial interests. Utilize risk management skills to reduce the company’s exposure to loss, including litigation activity. Ensure these programs are in compliance with local and Federal standards, as well as in line with corporate initiatives.Participate in strategic planning to ensure that human resources issues are effectively considered in the development of the organization and provide functional expertise to the rest of the organization.QualificationsTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.Education and/or ExperienceThe position requires a Bachelor’s degree and 8+ years of progressive experience in a Human Resources environment, preferably in a manufacturing environment. PHR/SPHR certification is desired.Knowledge, Skills and AbilitiesEffective oral and written communication and presentation skillsAbility to speak, read, and write Spanish preferredKnowledge of HR laws and pending legislationThe ability to make procedural decisions and judgments on sensitive, confidential issuesWork effectively in a team environmentThe ability to gather and analyze statistical data and generate reportsAbility to set and implement site-level HR strategyOperational knowledge of payroll policies, regulations, and procedures and a working knowledge of benefit plans, insurance, and retirement policies, regulations, and proceduresPC skills to include MS Office software, such as Excel and Word, and other internal management and Human Resources systems.Physical DemandsSit, use keyboard, and perform fine manipulation with hands and fingers. Lift up to 10 pounds.Clean, temperature-controlled environment. Noise level is low.
