This position is responsible for assisting the Head of HR by performing the company’s daily HR functions such as Recruiting/Staffing, Onboarding/Termination, Performance Management, and Employee Relations in order to achieve Company objectives.Responsibilities
Perform Recruiting and Staffing Activities: communicate with recruiting agencies by screening, recommending qualified candidates to hiring managers, and scheduling interviews.Perform Onboarding Process by fully understanding the company’s HR policy, Employee Handbook, and company benefit structure.Ensure job descriptions are up to date and compliant with all local, state, and federal regulations.Develop training materials and performance management programs to help ensure employees understand their job responsibilities.Create a compensation strategy for all employees based on market research and pay surveys; keep the strategy up to date.Investigate employee issues and conflicts and bring them to resolution.Ensure the organization’s compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.Use performance management tools to provide guidance and feedback to the team.Ensure all company HR policies are applied consistently.Partner with management to ensure strategic HR goals are aligned with business initiatives.Maintain HR systems and processes.Conduct performance and salary reviews.Analyze trends in compensation and benefits.Design and implement employee retention strategies.Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university in human resources, organizational development, business, or a related area.5+ years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.Strong interpersonal and communication skills, a team player, and a person who can perform in a diversified environment.Experience with Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS).Certifications from professional HR associations are a plus.Ability to work in the office in the San Jose, CA area.
