Job ID: 2803303 | Amazon Web Services, Inc.As a Business Intelligence Engineer within the WWFE organization, you will play a strategic role in driving the design, implementation, and delivery of cutting-edge business intelligence solutions.Key job responsibilitiesLeveraging tools like Amazon QuickSight for advanced data analysis, visualization, and reportingDemonstrating expertise in SQL and being proficient in Python and AWS services to tackle complex data challengesApplying advanced data science techniques, such as chi-square, t-test, and correlation analysis, to drive data-driven decision makingLeading the introduction of innovative technologies, including generative AI and machine learning, into our reporting and analytics workflowsImplementing robust data security and governance measures to ensure the protection of sensitive customer informationCentralizing and harmonizing data sources to enable self-service analytics capabilities for our teams and customersMapping sales output with training performance and conducting in-depth correlation analysis using your data science skillsMentoring and developing other data and analytics professionals within the organization, sharing your knowledge and expertiseAbility to communicate insights effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholdersA day in the lifeAs a WWFE Business Intelligence Engineer, you will be empowered to innovate on a daily basis with access to any tools you believe will do the job at hand best. You will be supported by a diverse team of fellow DEs, BIEs, SDEs, and PMs. Your work will directly enable impact through data for all of WWFE and will include, though not limited to, decision consulting with business stakeholders, designing visualizations, managing pipelines, and enabling self-serve for our business stakeholders.BASIC QUALIFICATIONS3+ years of analyzing and interpreting data with Redshift, Oracle, NoSQL etc. experienceExperience with data visualization using Tableau, Quicksight, or similar toolsExperience with data modeling, warehousing and building ETL pipelinesPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONSExperience with AWS solutions such as EC2, DynamoDB, S3, and RedshiftExperience in data mining, ETL, etc. and using databases in a business environment with large-scale, complex datasetsExperience developing and presenting recommendations of new metrics allowing better understanding of the performance of the businessExperience using SQL to pull data from a database or data warehouse and scripting experience (Python) to process data for modelingExperience in Statistical Analysis packages such as R, SAS and MatlabAmazon is committed to a diverse and inclusive workplace.
