How a Database Administrator will Make an Impact:As the SQL DBA Administrator, you will manage all current and planned SQL Server databases that support our customer’s COTS applications. You will also be part of a team of systems administrators managing Windows Server 2016-2019, desktops, and printers.Responsibilities:Operations and maintenance of SQL databases, including designing, planning, and implementing new databases as required.Applying STIGs to SQL Server databases and understanding impacts on related applications.Creating standards, operating procedures, and security documentation.Database monitoring, maintenance, troubleshooting, and tuning.Administration and management of Microsoft SQL Server 2012-2019 and Microsoft SQL Reporting Services.Familiarity with SQL Always-on setup and management and Microsoft Failover Clustering.Performing database and system performance monitoring and troubleshooting.SSIS and PowerBi Reporting Server Administration.Database backup and recovery, including developing, documenting, and applying procedures.Participating in the analysis of database solutions and implementing a secure database environment.Evaluating and installing new software releases, patches, and system upgrades.Identifying and troubleshooting system issues.Creating and updating user accounts in Active Directory.Supporting the Certification and Accreditation process, resolving findings, and documenting solutions.Required Experience:TOP SECRET CLEARANCE5+ years of work experience administering MS SQL Server databases (SQL 2012 or newer).Experience with Transparent Data Encryption (TDE) and Secure Socket Layer (SSL) encryption in SQL Server.Experience administering SQL Server 2016-2019.Preferred:Microsoft Server 2016 or higher.Microsoft SQL 2012 - 2019.
